Vice President Mike Pence just lost it at Venezuelan United Nations ambassador Samuel Moncada.
Pence left the room speechless after confronting Moncada during a speech in front of the UN Security Counsel.
Pence was delivering an address calling for the resignation of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro. Pence directly called out Monconada in the speech, saying “with all due respect, Mr. Ambassador, you shouldn’t be here.”
He went on to instruct the representative that he should “return to Venezuela and tell Nicolas Maduro that his time is up.”
Despite pushback from Russia, China, and Cuba, Pence urged the council that “Now it’s time for the United Nations to act, and for the world to stand with the people of Venezuela as they march for freedom.”
Pence also announced that the US will be sending $61 million in aid to the embattled country as the humanitarian crisis escalates.
