United States Vice President Mike Pence isn’t taking anything from Nancy Pelosi.
After the Democrat Speaker of the House grabbed headlines for quoting a Bible verse (“a time to heal” from Ecclesiates), Pence showed up with a Bible lesson of his own.
Pelosi had been criticizing Pence for not taking on an active role in ousting President Trump, but Pence’s response was perfect.
“Last week I did not yield to pressure to exert power beyond my constitutional authority to determine the outcome of the election, and I will not now yield to efforts in the House of Representatives to play political games at a time so serious in the life of our Nation,” said Pence.
“The Bible says that ‘for everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven . . . a time to heal, . . . and a time to build up,” said Pence.
Using Pelosi’s on verse in a response was a brilliant touch as the Democrat agenda looks nothing like healing but more like a vicious tar and feathering of the President who is on his way out the door in days.
