A ‘reversal’ in Michigan just shocked the nation and Democrats are furious. They never expected this to happen at the eleventh hour, and now everything is on the table.
“This president has done more for the African-American community than most previous presidents, and for her to make that claim is so ridiculous, so ludicrous, and so out of touch with reality,” said Hogan Gidley, the Trump campaign’s press secretary.
During an interview on The Kyle Olson Show, he reversed the accusations from Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel (D) that the Trump campaign’s legal complaints about the election are racist. What she said is delusional at best.
“Really the themes that we see, that persist, are this: Black people are corrupt, Black people are incompetent, and Black people can’t be trusted,” said Nessel. “That’s the narrative that is continually espoused by the Trump campaign and their allies in these lawsuits.”
As Gidley noted, however, Trump has not only been a president for all Americans — including African-Americans, which is why Trump received more black votes “than any Republican in history” — Nessel’s claims fall for another reason as well.
Ultimately, the Trump campaign’s lawsuits are about finding and exposing any irregularities or fraud. Every voter should want this to happen, but Nessel would rather play the race card than be helpful. It has been the liberal way for decades.
