Former First Lady, national speaker and bestselling author Michelle Obama gave a 24-minute speech she billed as a “closing argument” for presidential nominee Joe Biden (D), but she played the race card in doing so.
“Imagine how it feels to have suspicion cast on you from the day you were born simply because of the hue of your skin,” she said, adding that Trump is “stoking fears about Black and Brown Americans” and blaming Trump for racial divisions while ignoring the violent riots currently taking place around the country.
“Racism, fear, division — these are powerful weapons and they can destroy this nation if we don’t deal with them head-on,” Obama said.
She claimed that Biden “understands the struggles of everyday folks” and has the ability to end the “chaos” across the country despite the fact that it’s her own and Biden’s party who continues to make everything about race and make the divisions worse rather than better.
