First Lady Melania Trump just revealed the tragic news. Millions of people across the nation are stunned — they are praying for her right now.
“I am disappointed and disheartened with what happened last week,” said Mrs. Trump. “I find it shameful that surrounding these tragic events there has been salacious gossip, unwarranted personal attacks, and false misleading accusations on me.”
Trump also reiterated her view of the horrific Capitol riot. “Make no mistake about it, I absolutely condemn the violence that has occurred on our Nation’s Capitol,” she said, while also calling for the nation to “heal in a civil manner.”
Her statement “did not say where the personal attacks came from,” noted Breitbart News, but this wasn’t the point of her speaking out anyway. She wanted to provide hope and comfort to concerned Americans.
To be sure, the images that we have witnessed over the past several months — from the Capitol riot last week to the riots throughout the summer — have made us all weary. But we need to have faith in God.
“Every day let us remember that we are one Nation under God,” said Trump. This couldn’t have been a more appropriate time for such a powerful reminder. She will be remembered as one of our greatest first ladies.
