Former Fox News and NBC host Megyn Kelly told Newsmax TV’s Eric Bolling on Wednesday that there will be “more shoes to drop” at CNN after the resignation of Jeff Zucker over an inappropriate relationship with a network executive.
“There’s nothing I can report to you now, but mark my words — there are more shoes to drop,” she said after Bolling questioned her about what those shoes might be.
Kelly said that the reason Jeffrey Toobin, Don Lemon, and Chris Cuomo were all able to keep their jobs after being accused of sexual misconduct is because they all knew about Zucker’s relationship and he didn’t want them to reveal it.
“Well, now we know how,” she said. “The boss had dirt of his own, and he was worried that they would turn the tables and point the finger at him, and now it’s happened. And there’s more to this story.”
It has been suggested that Zucker’s affair was revealed during Chris Cuomo’s lawsuit against the network, prompting CNN’s lawyers to take action even though most staffers already knew about it.
