The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, just made a major announcement about her and Prince Harry. It is officially over and the Royal Family is stunned.
According to the Daily Mail, the couple, who are determined to “step back” from their royal duties, plan to move to Los Angeles in the future — but not until the Trump presidency comes to an end.
The couple’s original announcement about greatly diminishing their roles as members of the Royal Family was already a shock. However, this means they could be leaving the U.K. for good.
The political nature of their eventual move to the United States is also interesting, to say the least. Markle has been critical of Trump in the past — and apparently isn’t shying away from her view now.
Many have called into question the couple’s decisions, calling them “woke” young people who just want to make a name for themselves by virtue-signaling about liberalism.
Regardless of the motivation, however, their move to eschew longstanding tradition has reportedly caused great pain. Prince William and his wife, Duchess Kate, have been “hurt” as well.
