Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) says she’s not going anywhere until she’s ready despite a serious backlash from her comments to protesters in Minnesota.
Prior to the Derek Chauvin triple guilty verdict, Waters said people should get “even more confrontational” until they feel justice is done.
Even though she was closer to inciting violence than former President Donald Trump ever was, she’s getting cover from fellow Democrats who don’t see anything wrong with the comments.
“I keep getting reelected, and the poor people, many retirees, keep giving them their money,” the 86-year-old said.
“They don’t seem to understand they’re not going to get me out of office. I’m here until I decide to retire.”
