Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is completely finished. His company could be going down and there is nothing he can do about it. This is a stunning development.
Appearing on Fox News, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) called out the two largest social media platforms — Facebook and Twitter — for their censoring of conservatives and said that “they need to be held accountable.”
Lee is convinced that they are engaging in a “deceptive trade practice” by claiming to be unbiased yet “steadily putting their thumb on the left side of the scale.” He wants this to change immediately.
After all, Facebook’s users “expect both sides will be treated fairly” and there is clearly a double-standard. However, no one should be surprised since the company itself lacks political diversity amongst its employees.
In fact, according to a report released just before the election, “Facebook and Twitter employees have sent more than 90% of political donations to Democrats so far in 2020,” according to Fox News.
But action could be happening very soon. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) vowed that should he be reelected, it would be “the beginning of the end of Section 230,” which gives special government treatment to social media companies.
