The Washington Post unexpectedly posted an op-ed blasting President Joe Biden for pushing the pro-choice agenda despite his claim to the Catholic faith.
Ramesh Ponnuru and Robert P. George, argued that the taking of unborn life is fundamentally wrong and that Biden as a Catholic should recognize this.
They wrote, “[It] is science, not any catechism, that teaches us that at conception a new and distinct member of the species homo sapiens comes to be. Biden’s support of the pro-choice platform has led many Catholics to condemn him, and some have demanded that he stop describing himself as a devout Catholic.
Kansas City Archbishop Joseph Naumann said, “The president should stop defining himself as a devout Catholic and acknowledge that his view on abortion is contrary to Catholic moral teaching.”
