More than three months after protests began over police brutality and the death of George Floyd while in police custody in Minneapolis, CNN anchors Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon are finally saying that they think maybe Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden should address the ongoing violence.
“You have COVID and Kenosha, Don, and what’s happening in Wisconsin, it’s a Rorschach test for where this country is, and I think it probably represents the biggest threat to the Democratic cause,” Cuomo said.
Lemon agreed, saying, “I think this is a blind spot for Democrats. I think Democrats are hoping this will go away, and it’s not going to go away.” Lemon added that maybe Biden was afraid to address it, but that he should.
“The rioting has to stop,” Lemon concluded. “Chris, as you know, and I know it’s showing up in the polling, it’s showing up in focus groups. It is the only thing right now that is sticking.”
Riots are the “only thing” sticking? Hardly, but the riots are clearly symptomatic of a Democrat party that makes excuses for bad behavior and lets it get way out of control because the Democrats think everyone is a victim and violence is justified. And who would want to vote for that?
