Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) is completely out. This is bad news for the anti-Trump critic, but it was a long time coming. Brighter days are ahead.
Shortly before Cheney being removed as chair of the powerful House Republican Conference, Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) said that she had “failed” in her leadership role and needed to be removed.
“The only reason why we are talking about Liz Cheney is the exact evidence that she’s failed in her mission as the chief spokesperson of our party,” said Banks.
“Any leader who is not focused on pushing back against the radical and dangerous Biden agenda needs to be replaced,” Banks continued. And the Indiana congressman has an influential role, too.
Banks chairs the Republican Study Committee (RSC), which exists to push conservative ideas and legislation and resist turning the United States into a socialist nation.
According to Banks, Cheney was not doing her part — and that’s why she needed to be ousted. She has spent more time bashing Trump than holding Biden accountable for his radical agenda.
