Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) pushed back against criticism of the Justice Department by former President Barack Obama during a Saturday Fox News interview.
Leaked audio of Obama speaking to former administration officials showed him saying that recent DOJ actions mean that “the rule of law is at risk.”
“President Obama, do you know what compromised the rule of law?” Graham said. “Hiding evidence from a court, altering emails, trying to manufacture a crime versus investigating a crime.”
Graham was referring to recent revelations about FBI and Obama Justice Department treatment of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, whose case was dropped afterit was discovered that the investigation into his alleged Russia ties was conducted on bad faith to try to entrap him.
Obama was connected to the Flynn case and had some knowledge of what they were investigating, if not of the investigation itself.
