Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said Sunday on Fox News that he doesn’t think America is a racist country or that it has systemic racism.
Graham pointed to the two term election of Barack Obama to the presidency and the election of Kamala Harris as vice president as evidence that America is not racist.
“Our systems are not racist,” Graham said. “America is not a racist country. Within every society, you have bad actors. The Chauvin trial was a just result. What’s happening in Ohio where the police officer had to use deadly force to prevent a young girl from being stabbed to death is a different situation in my view.”
Graham said he didn’t think activists should be attacking police and saying they are all racist.
“America is a work in progress but the best place on the planet,” Graham concluded. “And Joe Biden spent a lot of time running the place down. I wish he would stop it.”
