They were kicked off. Millions of people across the nation are completely stunned — including President Donald Trump. This action by Twitter could have a direct effect on the upcoming election.
Even though the New York Post’s Twitter account was suspended, the publication “has refused to delete its tweets linking to the stories” about Hunter Biden’s emails “and Twitter has refused to relent on the Post’s suspension,” reported Breitbart News.
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has even insisted “that blocking links on the platform is wrong,” according to Breitbart. However, it has made zero practical difference — the Post is no closer to having its account restored.
It seems obvious that the publication’s account may never be restored — at least not anytime soon — unless the story links are removed. One Twitter user even theorized that this is all about the social media platform interfering in the election.
“It’s Monday morning, 2 weeks before the presidential election, and @nypost has been barred from posting on Twitter for 5 days and counting,” tweeted Emma-Jo Marris, the New York Post’s deputy politics editor, on October 19.
At the time of this article, the publication’s account still hasn’t been restored and there is no reason for it other than Twitter’s pride. The platform made a huge mistake and people need to tell Dorsey what they think about his tactics.
