Vice-president elect Kamala Harris plans to travel to Georgia next week to campaign for Georgia runoff candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock.
The Biden-Harris transition team confirmed that Harris, the most liberal Senator by voting record, will appear at rallies in Columbus and Suwanee next week.
President-elect Joe Biden went to Georgia last week to campaign for the Democrat candidates.
He said, “It’s time to stand up, take back our democracy. Send me these two men and we will control the Senate and we will change the lives of the people in Georgia.”
“I need two Senators from this state if I want to get something done, not two Senators who are going to get in the way,” Biden added. “Because look, getting nothing just hurts Georgia.”
Early voting has already begun in the state, and Republican candidates Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler both have slight leads in the polls.
