Vice President Kamala Harris is refusing to quarantine after meeting with a group of Texas Democrats in which five of them tested positive for the coronavirus even though they were vaccinated against the disease.
“It was determined the Vice President and her staff present at the meeting were not at risk of exposure because they were not in close contact with those who tested positive and therefore do not need to be tested or quarantined,” spokesperson Symone Sanders said.
Harris met with the Democrats to praise them for fleeing the state to try to stop a voting integrity bill by denying state House Republicans a quorum.
“Defending the right of the American people to vote is American as apple pie,” she said to them at the meeting, even though their actions are illegal and are a denial of democracy.
