Vice President Kamala Harris was slammed on Twitter Thursday for trying to defend President Joe Biden’s remarks during a Wednesday press conference that suggested the midterm elections might not be legitimate.
“I’m not going to say it’s going to be legit,” Biden about the election. “It’s — the increase and the prospect of being illegitimate is in direct proportion to us not being able to get these — these reforms passed.”
After ignoring the question several times, Harris finally said, “Let’s not conflate issues. What we are looking at and the topic of so much debate last night was that we as America cannot afford to allow this blatant erosion of our democracy.”
Jay Caruso tweeted that Harris was dodging the question and called her comments “word salad.”
Abigail Marone chimed in, “How is she so bad at this?” That’s a very good question.
