Vice President Kamala Harris has not been viewed as favorably as the president, and some Democrats are now beginning to complain that she hasn’t had a “honeymoon” even though the press refuses to honestly cover her performance the same way as they do Republicans like former President Donald Trump.
Both she and Biden get testy when the press challenges them, but somehow more people look at Harris unfavorably because of it.
“Just in terms of the public-facing stuff, it hasn’t been a stellar six months,” former Obama advisor David Axelrod said, adding that her opportunities to be front and center are fewer than Biden’s and could be magnified as a result.
Yahoo News said it was typical for Harris’s approval as vice president to be lower than Biden’s but that Harris might be facing prejudice as a Black and an Asian.
Or maybe people just see her–rightly–as more radical than Biden and they just don’t like that. If Americans including Democrats wanted a radical progressive, they would have chosen one as their nominee and she or Bernie Sanders would be president right now, but they are not.
