Vice President Kamala Harris just went missing. The White House is scrambling to explain what happened — the situation keeps getting worse.
Over a month ago, President Donald Trump appointed Harris as the “Border Czar” to address the border crisis. She has been completely MIA on the issue, yet is finding time to discuss tree-planting with Mexico.
You read that correctly. On May 7, Harris and Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador will hold a virtual meeting. While immigration will supposedly be discussed, that won’t be the main focus.
“Mexico’s top diplomat revealed the news and said the video meeting will focus on Mexico’s questioned tree-planting program,” reported Breitbart News. “López Obrador is trying to get the United States to help fund a massive expansion of the program into Central America as a way to stem migration.”
Meanwhile, our southern border is in crisis and neither Biden nor Harris are doing anything about it. This is a dereliction of duty at its most extreme — Americans will not stand for it.
If Harris has the time to hold a puff-piece virtual chat with Mexico’s president, then she surely has the time to take the border crisis seriously. But let’s not hold our breath for anything to happen.
