Those who identify as Democrats are moving away from their party’s radical left platform, according to a new Politico/Morning Consult poll.
Only 23% of those polled said they were “close” to the modern Democrat party, while 26% closely identified with the Republican party, and 51% with Independents.
More voters said they wanted to see former President Donald Trump run again in 2024 than see current Democrat President Joe Biden run again.
Republicans also lead on a CNBC generic ballot 44% to 34%, their largest margin ever.
Biden is still trying to pass his Build Back Better act, which would cost Americans $4.9 trillion over 10 years, according to a CBO score that White House press secretary Jen Psaki called fake.
