Vice President Kamala Harris is saying all the right things to China about its bullying of Taiwan and other countries while she visited Southeast Asia.
Harris said that Biden welcomed “stiff competition” with China while he did not “welcome conflict.”
“We’re going to speak up. We’re going to speak up when there are actions that Beijing takes that threaten the rules-based international order — again, such as activity in the South China Sea,” Harris said.
But Harris refused to mention Taiwan, over which China has repeatedly lorded its dominance and taken away key freedomes, original at all in the conversation.
She talks a good game, but isn’t backing it up with any action.
