Vice Presidential hopeful Kamala Harris attacked President Donald Trump on Wednesday, saying it was his fault that the coroanvirus outbreak had hit United States harder than other countries.
“This virus has impacted almost every country,” Harris said. “But there’s a reason it has hit America worse than any other advanced nation. It’s because of [President Donald] Trump’s failure to take it seriously from the start.”

While America had more cases per capita than any other country with the exception of Chile, it also had the most testing in the world. And other countries including United Kingdom, Belgium, Spain, Italy, and Sweden had more deaths per 100,000 people than the U.S.
The UK, for instance, had 14.9 deaths per 100,000 people, while the U.S. only had 3.2. Clearly, the U.S. is doing well on a global scale with testing people and preventing more deaths when citizens do get the virus.
