Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts’s recently released annual year-end report on the federal judiciary dropped damning bombshells that made it clear that there needs to be a change in our political discourse.
Justice Roberts’s report made it clear that judicial independence needs to be reinforced amid the increasing politicizing of the Supreme Court and other judicial positions.
The report read, “The judiciary’s power to manage its internal affairs insulates courts from inappropriate political influence and is crucial to preserving public trust in its work as a separate and coequal branch of government.”
The report was clearly taking thinly veiled shots at Democrats who have made it clear they want to corrupt the Supreme Court by expanding it to shift the political balance.
President Biden appointed a committee dedicated to studying changes that could be made to the Supreme Court with the clear intention of laying the groundwork for packing the court.
Supreme Court Justices, both liberal and conservative, have soundly denounced the idea of packing the Supreme Court, and this recent report continues that trend. It remains to be seen if Democrats will heed Roberts’s arguments or continue down their dangerous path.
