Caitlyn Jenner responded to “The View” co-host Joy Behar’s comments and nailed both Behar and the Left’s obsession with “cancel culture.”
When Jenner announced that she would be running as a Republican for Governor in California, Behar responded, saying, “He’s got this guy Brad Parscale running his campaign. What do you think about that? I mean, that guy was accused of using campaign funds to enrich himself. That’s who is running his campaign, or her campaign, rather.”
Behar quickly apologized, and Jenner responded, saying, “Don’t sweat it, @JoyVBehar. I’m not about cancel culture. I know where your heart is. California has bigger issues than pronouns.”
Jenner absolutely hit the nail on the head; pronouns are low on the priority list when it comes to public policy. Behar is lucky that she has the protection of the Left and that Jenner has more important matters to attend to.
Any conservative who misgendered a Democrat would have been castigated day in and day out for weeks and would have had his or her life ruined.
As Jenner continues to prepare her campaign, it will be worth watching how Democrats respond to it. Jenner’s announcement was all it took for Democrats to do a complete 180 and hurl “transphobic” insults at someone who just a few years ago was the darling of the Left.
