President Joe Biden’s plan to re-open a Jerusalem U.S. consulate for the Palestinians is against U.S. law because two consulates cannot exist in Jerusalem and still have it be officially recognized as Israel’s capital.
The Jerusalem Embassy Act prohibits Biden from doing what he’s doing, but he and the Democrats don’t seem to care. It’s now the age of elected officials doing whatever they want without regard for the rule of law.
Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and former assistant to U.S. Ambassador David Friedman David Milstein pointed out that the decision to re-open the Jerusalem consulate also “contradicts Biden’s campaign promise not to renege on the recognition of Jerusalem.”
Yet another Trump policy that Biden plans to undo and reverse at great expense to the U.S. and our allies.
