Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) was not happy with President Joe Biden’s apparent appeasement of Iran in the face of Israel’s involvement in fighting against Hamas.
“Israel’s under attack,” Scalise said. “Where’s President Biden’s leadership? He’s spent more time negotiating to help Iran get towards a nuclear weapon, than to confront the problems of Hamas and Palestinians attacking Israel.”
Meanwhile, Senate Republicans led by Marco Rubio (FL) sent a letter to Biden asking him to stop negotiating with Iran on a resumption of the 2015 Iran deal, noting that any money from U.S. aid or a decrease in sanctions could be used to arm Hamas to fight Israel.
Secretary of State Tony Blinken actually thinks his negotiations will keep Iran from getting nuclear weapons when a return to the Iran deal when former President Barack Obama was president will actually make it more likely that they will get them.
The attacks on Israel by Hamas should serve to show that Iran is hell-bent on its destruction and that no concessions should be given.
