President Joe Biden exposed his intentions to put America last as he revealed his $40 trillion “Build Back Better for the World” plan.
Biden made the announcement at the G7 summit on Saturday for his plan, which in collusion with other world leaders, will advance a “fair, sustainable, inclusive global economy.”
The plan is also designed to compete with China’s Belt and Road Initiative. A senior White House official said, “We’ve seen the Chinese government demonstrate a lack of transparency, poor environmental and labor standards, and a course of approach that’s left many countries worse off.”
While it is good to see the Biden administration pay lip service to pushing back against China, Americans are likely going to be forced to pay for this grand plan.
President Biden is expected to lobby Congress for funds to increase overseas infrastructure financing and other initiatives to build up infrastructure in less developed countries.
Biden’s timing for this announcement is bizarre as he has been lobbying Congress for trillions to work on American infrastructure. Biden suddenly choosing to prioritize this international project is another sign that Biden is willing to put Americans last.
