President Joe Biden has rescinded former President Donald Trump’s policy prohibiting U.S. funding to foreign non-governmental organizations that promote or perform abortion as a method of family planning, known as the Mexico City policy.
The policy was first put in place by Ronald Reagan in 1985, and has been repealed by various Democrat presidents and revived by Republican ones since then.
“The memorandum reflects the policy of the Biden-Harris Administration to support women’s and girls’ sexual and reproductive health and rights in the United States, as well as globally,” the White House said in a statement.
Polling shows that 58% of Americans oppose funding abortions with taxpayer dollars, primarily because it forces Americans who oppose abortion to pay for others to have them.
But the Democrat drive to get Americans to accept abortions as “health care” is steamrolling over everyone, and Biden, who claims to be a good Catholic, is leading the caravan. God help us all.
