Presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden promised the public Wednesday that he would reverse a Supreme Court decision to protect religious liberty by revoking an exception to Obamacare’s contraceptive mandate.
While technically it is not possible to reverse a Supreme Court ruling, it would be possible for Biden to change the way Obamacare was administrated in an effort to force religious groups to pay for insurance coverage for contraception and abortion.
Former President Barack Obama promised not to use Obamacare to subsidize abortions when the law was passed in 2013, but his administration created rules designed to force religious groups to do just that.
The contraceptive mandate has been fought in the courts since the law was passed, but was finally settled by the Supreme Court, at least until Biden might stir it up again if he becomes president.
Then again, what part of President Donald Trump’s accomplishments wouldn’t Biden undo, if he could?
