White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Saturday that President Joe Biden still does not support packing the Supreme Court by adding justices, even in the wake of the 5-3-1 abortion decision that allowed the overturning of Roe V. Wade.

“So, I know I’ve… I was asked this question yesterday, and I’ve been asked it before — and I think the president himself … about expanding the court,” Jean-Pierre told reporters. “That is something that the president does not agree with. That is not something that he wants to do.”

Several senators called for expanding the Supreme Court after the Dobbs decision, however.

Biden suggested that Congress should take legislative action to “restore” the abortion rights that were “lost,” however, there are problems with legislation codifying federal abortion rights as well.
