President Joe Biden claimed during a news conference that normal Americans can’t understand supply chain issues and that he would try to explain it to them during future talks.
His comments came after a reporter challenged him to respond to criticism from Democrat Rep. Abigail Spanberger (VA), who said, “Nobody elected him to be FDR, they elected him to be normal and stop the chaos.”
Wandering off topic, Biden said animatedly, “If we were all going out and having lunch together and I said, ‘Let’s ask whoever’s in the next table, no matter what restaurant we’re in, have them explain the supply chain to us.’ Do you think they’d understand what we’re talking about?”
“They’re smart people,” Biden said, but added that it was a “complicated world.”
Apparently, his comments were supposed to explain why his administration has done nothing to solve the months-long supply chain problems that have led to empty shelves in many stores, but it seems like just another bunch of excuses that talk about the issue but do nothing to solve it.
