President Biden will NOT visit Ukraine when he travels to Europe this week as Russian forces continue to escalate the now month-long invasion of their neighbor.
Biden is travelling to Europe to engage with urgent talks with NATO about the situation.
He won’t be going to Ukraine, but has recently added a stop in Poland to his schedule.
Joe will to go Brussels first, then to Poland to meet with world leaders.
The addition of Poland to Biden’s schedule was confirmed by press secretary Jen Psaki during a statement on March 20.
Originally, the announcement that Biden would travel to Europe was made last week because “the president is a big believer in face-to-face diplomacy so it’s an opportunity to do exactly that.”
