President Joe Biden left Washington, D.C. on Tuesday afternoon to spend Thanksgiving on Nantucket at the $30 million estate of David Rubenstein.
He had no apparent plans to visit with victims of the Wisconsin SUV massacre at a Christmas parade this week, with six dead so far including children and the elderly.
A few hours after news of the massacre broke, Biden called the attack a “horrific act of violence,” but stopped short of his reaction to spa killings earlier in the year in Atlanta, which targeted Asian-Americans.
After the spa killings, he lowered the flag to half-staff and visited the city to meet with officials there.
If there’s no intersectional or race-based aspect to the killings, I guess they don’t matter.
