President Joe Biden appeared to accept the striking down of the mask mandate for public transportation that occurred on Monday, telling a reporter that it’s “up to them” whether people wear masks on planes, buses and other modes of transportation.
“That’s up to them,” Biden answered curtly when the reporter asked during a trip to New Hampshire whether people should still wear masks on public transportation.
Biden had not decided whether to appeal the ruling and said he had to talk to the CDC first before making a decision.
Biden wore a mask on Air Force One Tuesday, and those traveling with him were also required to wear masks.
The NSA has said it would no longer enforce the mask mandate, and none of the major airlines have put their own mandates in place for employees or passengers.
