President Joe Biden is responding to the multiple crises of his administration in the only way he knows how–by snapping at reporters who dare to ask him hard questions about what in the world is going on.
When he was asked about a growing number of economists predicting a recession in the near future, he went into scold mode.
“Not the majority of them aren’t saying that, c’mon, don’t make things up, ok?” He snapped. “Now you sound like a Republican politician.”
“I’m joking, that was a joke,” he added, trying to repair the damage.
He then claimed he talked to Larry Summers that morning, and that Summers said a recession was not inevitable. This conflicts with other comments Summers recently made, suggesting a recession was likely, however.
