Guatemala and Honduras have both denied statements by White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki Monday that they have made deals with the U.S. to help handle migrants at the border.
Psaki said the U.S. would deploy hundreds of troops to the border between Guatemala and Honduras in exchange for the assistance in holding migrants there, but both countries denied that a deal was made.
Comments by both governments plus Mexico suggested no deals had been made, although Honduras said it was considering some of the actions described.
Did Psaki or the Biden administration lie about the agreements because of the intense pressure to do something to fix the border situation?
Yet another thing to investigate if the press or any of the bureaucrats in Washington ever grow a pair and get over themselves.
