If progressives are expecting Joe Biden to be something more than a redux of Obama’s 8 years, Biden’s recent cabinet and transition appointments are sure to leave them disappointed and disillusioned.
Biden is bringing back John Kerry, Tony Blinken, and Susan Rice. He might even bring back Samantha Power, who was U.N. Ambassador.
“I think right now, what we’re looking at is a Biden administration that’s going to go right into Obama 2.0,” Point Bridge Capital founder/CEO and longtime Republican donorsaid Hal Lambert said on Newsmax. “They’re there, quite frankly as I’ve seen other people say, to manage the decline of the United States.”
How on earth could the majority of the American people not have seen what Biden was going to do. He himself is in decline, and he is quite unable to do anything else but bring that decline to the country he is about to be running.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who is in a position to confirm–or not–Biden’s cabinet appointees, summed it up this way in a tweet: “I support American greatness. And I have no interest in returning to the “normal” that left us dependent on China.”
