Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said on Fox News on Sunday that President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate is forcing Americans to make choices between “health and their job.”
Paxton said that whether someone gets the vaccine should be a “personal choice” and whether children wear masks in Head Start programs should be up to their parents.
“We’ve been fighting this ever since Biden issued these mandates,” Paxton said.
“The Biden administration has to follow the law, it has to follow he Constitution,” he added, noting that any mandates should be enacted by Congress through the legislative process.
A lower court ruled that the Head Start mandates exceeded the administration’s authority.
