The White House cut a feed of President Joe Biden speaking with House Democrat Caucus members including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Wednesday after Biden said he would take questions from reporters.
“I’m happy to take questions if that’s what I’m supposed to do, Nance, whatever you want me to do,” Biden said, just before the feed was cut.
Biden has not had a solo press conference since becoming president. His 15 most recent predecessors over the last 100 years all held solo press conferences within 33 days or less of becoming president.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Biden would hold a press conference on some future date, but that it would not be this week.
Let’s be real: the reason Biden has not held a press conference is because his mental capacity is so diminished that he can’t be trusted to do so. There’s probably a good chance that he will never hold a press conference, because he will be replaced before he gets a chance.
