The GOP Congress members are calling out Joe Biden for his silence in the light of Democrat Cori Bush’s tweet on Independence Day.
Bush tweeted that July 4th was a racist holiday and that black people still are not free. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris did not disagree.
“I think that they should ask her about what Cori said,” said GOP Representative Byron Donalds. “They should ask President Biden about what Cori said. I find it interesting that Republicans are always having to answer questions about what one of our members said. They should be having to answer questions about what Cori said yesterday”
It’s common, as Donalds pointed out, for a leader of the party to have to answer for the actions and words of those within the party. Yet, neither Biden nor Harris (nor the media) have distanced themselves from the hatred of our nation found within Bush’s tweets.
It’s time for America to know who is for the country and who is against it.
