President Joe Biden was apparently once arrested for entering the Capitol building and acting similarly to some of the people who participated in the Capitol riot.
Biden told a story during an appearance on David Letterman in 2007 that he went into the Capitol on a Saturday after Congress was in session and that he sat in the presiding officer’s seat.
Then a Capitol police officer told him he was under arrest, he said.
While it would be ironic if Biden had really been arrested for entering the Capitol, it can’t be determined whether he was telling the truth or not.
He also claimed to have been arrested trying to see Nelson Mandela in prison in South Africa, but members of his campaign later admitted it wasn’t true after inconsistencies were questioned.
