Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions just shocked Americans. The reports were true after all, and his announcement is spreading nationwide. People are stunned.
Sessions, who was fired by President Trump and replaced by William Barr, is apparently back on the pro-Trump side. He specifically defended Trump’s actions against Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.
Speaking at a campaign stop in North Alabama, he said, “I support what the president has done.” He also praised Trump for avoiding “massive destruction and creating a war.”
Instead, said Sessions, “He targeted the head of the terrorism force in Soleimani and successfully did so.” Sessions is currently running for the U.S. Senate in Alabama, a seat he held for two decades.
Trump has yet to endorse Sessions in the race, however, and some are skeptical about whether he will — given their contentious history. But there is reason to believe Sessions will remain pro-Trump.
Before becoming attorney general, then-Sen. Sessions was an avid, unwavering supporter of Trump. It would appear that perhaps the role of attorney general just didn’t fit him well.
