Former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is vying for his old Senate seat in Alabama, and he just pulled the trigger — the nation is stunned by what he publicly announced this week.
“How’s your brother, by the way?” asked Sessions in a heated and humorous Twitter exchange with Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). Americans likely know about the controversy now, but let’s briefly recap.
Back in January, after examining reports, the FBI opened an investigation into whether “Omar married her brother in order to ease his immigration to the U.S,” noted the National Review.
Sessions’ comment hit a nerve, but Omar decided to deflect instead. “Not so well, just like many black men in our country he is fighting systematic racism and people like you,” she said.
The debate actually started after Omar supported the radical move by the Minneapolis City Council to “disband” the police. Sessions had the perfect response to her left-wing extremism.
“Radical Leftists like Ilhan Omar and the rest of ‘the Squad’ are dead wrong,” said Sessions. “Don’t defund the police. Defund the thought police.” That about covers it.
