It is happening. The military was just deployed to China and millions of people are stunned. No one expected this to happen anytime soon.
“Indonesia’s navy said … that it plans to move its combat squad’s headquarters to the Natuna Islands in the South China Sea to defend Jakarta’s territorial interests from incursions by Chinese vessels,” reported Breitbart News.
“Beijing illegally claims historic rights to parts of the South China Sea that overlap with Indonesia’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ),” Breitbart continued, which is why many are convinced Indonesia has made this move.
Indonesia’s Navy Chief of Staff, Adm. Yudo Margono, lacked specifics in his address on Radio Free Asia (RFA) announcing the relocation of the combat squad’s headquarters — likely to avoid directly agitating China.
But make no mistake, as China continues its relentless pursuit of territory — especially in major trade routes such as the South China Sea — other nations with territorial jurisdiction in the sea will have to protect their interests.
Thankfully, due to President Donald Trump’s leadership, the United States has also been monitoring China’s activity in the South China Sea and can easily respond to any aggression by the communist nation.
