BREAKING: It’s Confirmed, He’s RUNNING For Office – GOP Shocked

Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) announced on Monday that he will run for the seat of retiring Sen. Rob Portman, making him the first to do so.

“I’m running for U.S. Senate to fight like hell to cut workers in on the deal,” the longtime House member tweeted.

The video accompanying the tweet also said, “The success of America isn’t housed in the halls of Congress. It lies in the calloused hands and the unrelenting grit of America’s workers. Those who dug the deepest sent our nation soaring.”

Ohio GOP Chair Bob Paduchik said of Ryan that he “has tried to pass himself off as a champion of the working class. Sadly, his support of job killing policies show he is just another fast-talking politician looking for a bigger job.”

But Ryan is bound to be a formidable opponent to whoever the GOP puts forward as a candidate, and the GOP can’t afford to lose any more Senate seats.
