Pirro questioned if Omar’s observance of the Muslim command to wear a head covering might be “indicative of her adherence to Sharia law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution.”
Fox News immediately issued a statement condemning Pirro’s comments, saying that “they do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly.”
The situation is still developing, but Fox News acted rapidly to remove Pirro from the air. Fox News has refused to comment any further about Pirro’s status with the network.
President Trump responded to the suspension advocating for the reinstatement of Judge Jeanine.
