Iran just attacked. Millions of people across the nation are stunned and U.S. leaders need to prepare for the worst. This is a stunning development.
“What we saw in the United States yesterday (Wednesday) evening and today shows above all how fragile and vulnerable Western democracy is,” said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in a televised speech earlier this week.
“We saw that unfortunately the ground is fertile for populism, despite the advances in science and industry,” Rouhani continued. “A populist has arrived and he has led his country to disaster over these past four years.”
Contextually, he was referring to President Donald Trump and the chaos that ensued at the U.S. Capitol while Congress was counting the Electoral College votes. But Rouhani has revealed exactly what frightens him.
Keep in mind Iran has never been trustworthy. Trump has always known this and spent four years putting the rogue terrorist state on the defensive, including taking out Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.
Soleimani was a mass murderer and terrorist responsible for the deaths of American soldiers. Trump’s decision to order a drone strike that resulted in Soleimani’s death put Iran on their heels. Now, we will be going back to business as usual with Joe Biden.
