An email found by NBC News notified Hunter Biden that he didn’t claim on his taxes $400,000 he was paid by Burisma Holdings in 2014 when he joined the board.
Eric Schwerin, then president of Rosemont Seneca Partners, emailed Biden in 2017 that he would need to amend his taxes to reflect the income.
The revelation comes as Biden announced that he was under FBI and IRS investigation over his taxes related to overseas business dealings.
Joe Biden has refused to comment on the investigation except to say he is “proud” of his son.
Hunter Biden says he is “confident” that he handled his affairs “legally and appropriately.”
