An election ‘reversal’ was just announced and the news is spreading nationwide. This is an incredible development, and the media is fuming — they never expected this to happen.
“One of the things that the media forgets is they do not select the President of the United States,” said Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) on Fox News, reversing the narrative being pushed by liberal talking heads.
She continued: “The American people elect the president of the United States. And in 2000, Al Gore spent 37 days exhausting every option, and President Donald Trump should also exhaust all options that are available to him.”
Contrary to the media’s opinion — which seems to be incredibly convenient, given what happened back in 2000 — Trump is doing what any presidential candidate in a close race would do.
But don’t expect this kind of rationality on cable news. Sadly, it seems even Fox News has fallen prey to the false narrative that Trump should concede even though there are still thousands of ballots to be counted.
As Blackburn said, however, the media doesn’t elect the president — the people elect the president. We will know the actual winner soon enough, but the legal process must be allowed to play out.
